The following is an email sent from the editor-in-chief of EGM to his entire staff.

The editor of EGM wasn’t the only person who had enjoyed my Ralph Baer article. Ralph Baer himself told me that he felt this was the best article that had ever been written about him. Even better, this article reintroduced Ralph to the world and before long he was receiving awards all around the world for his achievements as he was finally being recognized as the inventor of the videogame console culminating with the prestigious National Medal of Technology from President Bush in 2006. After Ralph received that award he told me that he felt that it had been my article that had been responsible for setting him on the path that eventually led to that award.
