Videogaming and Computergaming Illustrated – December 1983
While I was writing my first book, ABC To the VCS, I wrote a letter about something to Videogaming & Computergaming Illustrated. They didn’t publish my letter but they asked me to write an article about the downfall of the third-party company, Imagic. Even though I received my first check from writing for this article the editors weren’t happy it and rewrote it, although they retained my byline. I had my appendix removed and was in the hospital over the Thanksgiving 1983 holiday when the magazine came out. My friends visited me in the hospital and brought the magazine with them. It was nice seeing my byline, even though the article wasn’t mine.
